imag0732-2I have been doing individual counseling at Dr. Bonin and Associates since August 2016 and Blumrich Counseling since May 2018. I have my B.S. in Education from UL Lafayette and my M.A. in Counseling from Franciscan University of Steubenville in Ohio.  In my over 14 years of experience as a counselor, I have worked in a Community Mental Health Center, a Private Practice Office,  Drug and Alcohol Rehab hospitals, Partial Hospitalization Programs, and Inpatient Hospitals.  I have experience working with Children and Adolescents as well as with adults and worked to help those struggling with addiction as well as emotional and behavioral problems.

Treatment Approach

I use a combination of Cognitive-Behavior Therapy, Reality Therapy, and Play Therapy which I adapt to the needs and preferences of the client. I believe much of the work on counseling is helping people change their perspective or viewpoint of themselves, their life, and others to better handle the stressors and difficulties that are present in everyone’s life. The way we see things affects our mood and attitudes which impacts our ability to function in life.
